Sarah Palin may soon be headed for Washington after all :: Gerald Warner
"On the other hand, perceptive commentators have never claimed Palin is stupid - just inexperienced and uninformed about issues beyond Alaskan politics. After all, she was thrown in at the deep end as vice-presidential candidate. It might be that, with four years' intensive tutoring, on-the-job experience as a senator and participation in a reinvention of the Republican Party that would not repudiate her values but present them in a more sophisticated style, she might be an asset the GOP could not ignore. Stranger transformations have taken place in the world of politics."

Now that the dust has settled, perhaps this is the best strategy for Palin and best for the future of the Repub party.
